Cyphastrea Corals - LPS or SPS?
Cyphastrea belong to the Large Polyp Stony Corals (LPS) and can have a variety of different color morphs. Almost all Cyphastrea grow crust-like. They are generally well-suited for saltwater aquariums but are for some reason not very popular among aquarists and almost exclusively owned by Cyphastrea enthusiasts.
What do Cyphastrea want?
Cyphastrea are very robust corals. They like a moderate current and not too much light. Place your coral in areas of your tank that are not well lit. As long as you keep these two things in mind, you will enjoy them for a long time.
