Application and dosage of Phytoplankton concentrate

Shake the bottle before use. 0.5 ml per 100 litres of tank volume per day is sufficient for feeding your reef inhabitants (dosing pipette is included).

The time of addition of the concentrate plays a subordinate role. Adding it at the beginning of the lighting phase can have a positive effect on any increased nutrient values in the tank. Adding it shortly before the onset of the dark phase will tend to benefit the microfauna and corals, which open up at night to take in food particles from the water column. The skimmer and other filter units (fleece filter, UV or ozone) can be switched off for a short time immediately after dosing. This way, the plankton will be available to the inhabitants of your aquarium for a little longer. However, since the filter components are often operated in bypass mode (i.e. only a fraction of the aquarium water is filtered per unit of time), we also believe that switching off skimmers & co is negligible.


Our plankton concentrate is also excellently suited for breeders, as phytoplankton is always available for clouding the breeding tank (greenwater method) in case of an unexpected surge of larvae, or it can be used to enrich rotifers and artemia.


You should always keep the bottle in the refrigerator.
