Briareum - Corals for beginners in the reef hobby

In contrast to stony corals, Briareum does not form a solid skeleton of calcium carbonate. They are therefore more tolerant of fluctuations in calcium concentration and alkalinity. Briareum are perfect candidates for beginners in the reef hobby as well as for tank owners who do not (want to) pay meticulous attention to their water parameters.

Briareum is one of the most adaptable corals in the reef hobby

Moderate to strong currents and strong lighting allow Briareum to grow best - but the coral also copes easily with very weak lighting. Beware of the relatively strong nettle power! Therefore, position Briareum with enough distance to other corals.

Fast growth of Briareum - advantages and disadvantages

Briareum has the potential to grow very quickly. Some reef hobbyists use this property specifically to overgrow, for example, overflow boxes or back walls in order to hide them. If you do not want the Briareum to cover parts of your reef structure, place the coral separately from the rest of the reefscape. For example on a stone in the sand. In this way you can easily control the propagation.

Super!

Die Koralle kam super bei mir an und wurde liebevoll und so mega gut verpackt. Sehr sehr schön. Nach einigen Stunden öffnete sie sich ein wenig. Ich gebe ihr noch ein wenig Zeit, ansonsten werde ich mal den Standort ändern. Den Tipp diese Koralle auf einen separaten Stein zu platzieren habe ich befolgt und bin schon gespannt ihre volle Pracht zu sehen. Mega herzlichen Dank an das ganze Team.

Voll zufreiden

Auch mit der Briareum sp. 'Green' bin ich voll zufrieden.
Mein gewählter Platz hat sich gleich als geeignet herausgestellt. Steht eigentlich seit dem ersten Tag immer geöffnet da.
Ablegerstein war komplett voll bewachsen.
Als kompletter Neueinsteiger in der Meerwasseraquaristik bin ich zum Glück auf Coralaxy gestoßen.
Bissher alles in meinem Becken hier bestellt und immer voll zufrieden. Der Nachhaltigkeitsgedanke gefällt mir und die Auswahl ist auch super.

Sehr schönes Tier

Nach endlich einer Woche hat sich mein grünes Affenhaar geöffnet, nach mehrmaligen Positionswechsel war ich wieder an der ersten Position und jetzt füllt sich das Tier wohl.
