Leptastrea corals are closely related to Favites and Favia and occur in a variety of different colour morphs. With its unusual colour and growth form, this coral creates a diverse display in the reef aquarium. Leptastrea do not form tentacles, but have a strong nettle power, which is why an appropriate safety distance to other corals can be useful.
Low-light, but flow-loving LPS coral
Leptastrea do well with less intense lighting. The flow, on the other hand, can be chosen to be moderate to strong.
