Frag Pack 'Soft Start'

Soft corals for beginners
Soft corals are ideal for getting started in marine aquarium keeping. They are more forgiving of small mistakes and can also cope with fluctuations in water values much better than most stony corals. Even if you are generally looking for robust and easy-care corals, this package is perfect for you.
How do you attach soft corals to the reef?
We have attached the corals to frag plugs. These stones work well in our facility and can be anchored well in the reef structure of a saltwater aquarium. Sometimes the "stems" of the frag plugs can be a nuisance. You can easily cut these off with pliers. It is best to use coral glue to position the animal so that it is firmly attached to the structure.
Colorful soft corals like flow and light
Green or yellow soft corals need a lot of light to maintain their beautiful coloring, so position them in well-lit areas of your aquarium.
High nutrient values? No problem for soft corals!
Soft corals cope well with increased nutrient concentrations. Phosphate concentrations of up to 0.2 mg/l and nitrate concentrations of up to 20 mg/l are considered perfectly acceptable. They are therefore not only ideal for a newly set up or small reef aquarium, but also for keeping with fish. Note that colorful soft corals can temporarily lose their intense colors when nutrient levels are high.
