Whether for feeding picky reef inhabitants, raising larvae or building up a healthy microfauna in the reef tank: the addition of zooplankton is the way to go!
By regularly adding zooplankton, you can recreate the natural food chain and achieve a balanced supply for your reef inhabitants while at the same time reducing water pollution. While pelagic (= open water living) copepods primarily improve the polyp appearance of your corals, the benthic (= substrate living) species ensure the removal of detritus and in this way keep the bottom and reef structure clean.
