We generally show the coral frags under different
light settings:
- Top view blue light - 20,000 K
- Top view daylight - 12,000 K
- Reef tank shots with orange filter (= filter shot) of the individual animals in the pack
When taking a filter shot, we deliberately choose not to use too much blue light in order to display the colors as naturally as possible and as one would perceive them without filter glasses. Please note that deviations can still occur due to certain display and lighting settings and subjective perception.
In terms of size, you can use the light grid plate to help you: one square is 1.6 x 1.6 cm. Our frag plugs measure 2 or 3 cm in diameter.
Corals for the nano reef - what should you consider?
If you want to stock a smaller saltwater aquarium with corals, there are a few things to consider when choosing. For example, corals with long fighting tentacles ( Galaxea, Euphyllia, Chalice...) are less suitable for a small or densely populated tank. Such "aggressive" corals need to be kept at a safe distance from neighboring colonies, otherwise they will suffocate them. Corals that are very sensitive to fluctuations in water values are also not necessarily the first choice when it comes to nano aquariums. The smaller the water volume, the more difficult it is to keep important parameters such as salinity, alkalinity and nutrient values stable.
You can't go wrong with the 'Nano' frag pack: it contains a colorful mix of corals that neither have long fighting tentacles nor require particularly high care. On top of that, they score points with their extremely beautiful fluorescent colors.
