Red phytoplankton for enrichment of zooplankton or direct feeding of filter feeders.

Living phytoplankton culture. The red microalgae Rhodomonas sp. has a particularly high-quality fatty acid profile. The reason for this is the high proportion of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). This makes it interesting not only as food for filter feeders, but also as an enrichment medium for copepods & Co.

Application and dosage of Rhodomonas sp.

Shake the bottle well before use. To feed your reef inhabitants, 50 ml per 100 liters per day is sufficient. Always store the bottle in a cool, dark place (refrigerator).

Information on delivery times for live plankton

We only send you "ready to harvest" plankton - that is, a culture with a high density and free of fertilizer. The optimal time of bottling can delay the delivery time. If we are unable to provide express delivery on your desired delivery date, we will contact you to arrange further arrangements. In standard shipping, we generally only send the plankton on Mondays or Tuesdays so that the shipment arrives before the weekend.
