More Information
Every reef aquarium runs the risk of introducing unwanted pests when adding new corals. Flatworms, snails, or spiders can hitchhike unnoticed and cause serious damage long before you realize they’re there. Coral RX was created to prevent this by cleaning corals thoroughly before they enter your aquarium.
What makes Coral RX unique is its formula: it contains no iodine or oxidizing agents that can stress or discolor corals. Instead, it relies on a blend of natural ingredients that effectively remove parasites while being gentle on coral tissue. This makes it ideal for quarantining new corals of all kinds.
Beyond pest control, Coral RX also helps protect against bacterial infections and tissue loss (RTN, STN). Independent studies confirm its effectiveness and show that it outperforms traditional iodine dips in both safety and results.
Coral RX vs. Iodine Dips
Many aquarists are familiar with iodine dips, which have long been used to treat corals, particularly for bacterial problems. However, they come with some drawbacks: corals may discolor, sensitive species often react with stress, and effectiveness against parasites is limited.
Coral RX takes a different approach. Without iodine or oxidizing agents, it is far more gentle, leaves no discoloration, and removes a broader range of pests. That makes it especially suitable for regular use when introducing new corals, helping you minimize the risk of bringing harmful organisms into your tank.
