Application and dosage of phytoplankton concentrate

Shake the bottle before use. To feed your reef inhabitants, 0.5 ml per 100 liters of tank volume per day is sufficient (dosing pipette is included with the product).

The timing of the concentrate addition plays a minor role. Adding it at the beginning of the lighting phase can have a positive effect on any increased nutrient levels in the tank. Adding it shortly before the onset of the dark phase tends to benefit the microfauna and corals, which open at night to absorb food particles from the water column. The skimmer and other filter units (fleece filter, UV or ozone) can be switched off for a short time immediately after dosing. This way, the plankton is available to the inhabitants of your aquarium for a little longer. However, since the filter components are often operated in bypass mode (i.e. only a fraction of the aquarium water is filtered per unit of time), switching off the skimmer & co is also negligible in our opinion.

Our plankton concentrate is also ideal for breeders, as in the event of an unexpected surge in larvae, phytoplankton is always available to cloud the breeding tank (greenwater method) or it can be used to enrich rotifers and brine shrimp.

You should definitely keep the bottle in the refrigerator.
