Pseudochromis fridmani – a marine fish for aquariums from 150 liters

The King Solomon's Dwarf Grouper can be kept in aquariums with a tank volume of 150 liters or more. We recommend keeping them in pairs or, in aquariums with a volume of 300 liters or more, in a harem of 3 or 5 animals. When kept together , Pseudochromis fridmani is easy to care for and generally peaceful towards other fish species. Some caution is advised when keeping them together with very small shrimps (eg Thor amboinensis ) - Pseudochromis fridmani could recognize a potential food source here.

Dwarf cichlids are hermaphrodites

Like many other fish species, dwarf bass are able to change their sex over the course of their lives. This makes them so-called hermaphrodites. To ensure that you keep a maximum of one male when forming a pair or harem, it is advisable to pay attention to the size of the animals. As a rule, only the largest specimen of dwarf bass develops into a male. Of course, when you place your order, we will also make sure to only send you a maximum of one larger fish per group or pair. However, due to the difficulty of determining the sex, we cannot give you any guarantees.

Feeding dwarf cichlids

In order to provide dwarf cichlids with sufficient nutrition, medium-sized frozen foods such as Artemia or Mysis should be regularly included in the diet. However, various live and dry foods are also readily accepted.

Bred dwarf cichlids

Our dwarf cichlids are 100% bred. They are robust, healthy and food-stable. All of the offspring are perfectly suited to being kept in a saltwater aquarium and show little territorial behavior.
