How to feed saltwater fish properly!
When feeding your saltwater fish, you should be economical and only feed them as much as they can consume in a short period of time. It would be ideal to distribute several small portions throughout the day. If your fish are not the "fastest", it is a good idea to turn off the flow pumps during feeding. Many pumps have a special feeding mode that pauses the flow for a few minutes. To ensure that all the fish in your aquarium get some, you can put the food in several places in the aquarium. With the help of a feed pipette, you can even feed fish living close to the bottom.
Feeding nori algae in the aquarium - what you need to consider
Soak the algae in fresh water immediately before feeding. This makes it easier for your fish to absorb and digest. Note that nori algae, like all other seaweed, contains iodine. Therefore, keep an eye on your iodine levels and reduce the dosage or amount of food if necessary.
How often should I feed my saltwater fish?
Most saltwater fish are continuous feeders and could actually tolerate many small feedings throughout the day. Since this is not always possible for most aquarists with work, family and leisure time, we recommend feeding a small portion twice a day. Occasionally you can have days where you feed your fish 6-8 times a day, and fasting days where you don't feed them at all.
